Bianca Thompson is a Toronto-born journalist and creative writer who is emerging as a force in the industry with her vibrant persona and ability to craft captivating narratives with an artistic touch. She has made significant contributions to Complex Canada, interned under TSN’s The Shift, and conducted insightful interviews with notable Canadian artists.

What started as a hobby of writing stories, poetry, and music, turned into a profound love for creative expression and storytelling. Recognizing her potential in the media landscape, Bianca went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. She continues to stand out as a multifaceted professional, proficient in editorial work, conducting interviews, broadcast, scriptwriting, content creation, copywriting and podcasting. Her accolades include winning the 2023 Lead Podcasting Award, the 2024 Len Coates Memorial Award and she is currently a recipient of The Canadian Journalism Foundation’s Black Journalism Fellowship at The Globe and Mail, which she is completing through March 2026.

Through her upcoming podcast, The Deepnd, set to launch in early 2026, Bianca aims to amplify the voices of creatives and gifted individuals. Focused on leveraging her platform to inspire and educate, she’ll explore profound subjects and unlock new ways of thinking. Going beyond the surface, the podcast will dive into content designed to help individuals embrace vulnerability and authenticity, supporting their journey toward healing, personal or career growth, or simply levelling up their game.
