Bianca Thompson is a Toronto-born journalist and poet, known for her vibrant persona and passion for human-interest angles across life, culture, entertainment and business. She has reported for the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail and Complex Canada. She has also hosted a show with Wingstop Canada, where she interviewed notable Canadian artists.

What started as a hobby of writing poetry, music, and short stories turned into a profound love for storytelling and self-expression. Recognizing her potential in the media landscape, Bianca went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. She continues to stand out as a multimedia reporter, proficient in digital media, on-camera interviews, sound scoring, video editing, scriptwriting, and copywriting. Her accolades include winning the 2023 Lead Podcasting Award, the 2024 Len Coates Memorial Award and completing The Canadian Journalism Foundation’s Black Journalism Fellowship.

Through her upcoming podcast, The Deepnd, set to launch in 2026, Bianca aims to amplify the voices of creatives and gifted individuals. Focused on leveraging her platform to inspire and educate, she’ll explore profound subjects and unlock new ways of thinking. Going beyond the surface, the podcast will dive into content designed to help individuals embrace vulnerability and authenticity, supporting their journey in levelling up their game and connecting with like-minded creatives to build a more open, collaborative community in Toronto.
